Recipe Details

4 Large eggs

1/2 cup Milk

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla

1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon

1 tablespoon Butter or oil for frying

Top generously with Kauai Tropical Coconut Syrup from our online store or drizzle with maple syrup

KING'S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Round Bread

Step 1
Slice bread crosswise so that each slice is about 1-inch thick. Cut larger slices into halves or thirds, if desired. Set aside.
Step 2
In a shallow mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Mix occasionally to ensure it's well-blended.
Step 3
Quickly dip slices (do not soak) in egg mixture and cook in frying pan until golden brown on both sides.
Step 4
Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with warm coconut or maple syrup.
Amazing. I used King's Hawaiian rolls instead and it was so good. Added a bit of sugar too!
Having the buns shipped to Ohio was an experience, but was diffidently not disappointed. The buns were as fresh as if they were just made that day. Being from Hawaii, I've always had it my finger tips, when ever I wanted it, but to see my daughter in law and grandsons enjoy as much as I had hope they would. Made it every bit worth it to be able to have them have piece of Hawaii. I made burgers, hotdogs and mini sandwiches. It gave them the taste, that they said they really enjoyed. So thanks to Kings and their guaranties of freshness. Mahalo

Made some for a brunch and used the rolls and had Hawaiian French Toast Brunch appetizers!
This is truly an amazing recipe! I used the King's Hawaiian sliced bread. (Not sure if the it's same recipe as the round bread called for in the recipe.) I have always used the same ingredients in this recipe to make my french toast with just a quick dip in the batter. I have never had it taste so good. The bread makes this recipe. I very rarely leave reviews or comments, but this was so good and the family enjoyed so much, I just had to share!
